“‘The art form of noh, magisterial and distilled, demands masks of the greatest beauty and the most focussed imagination: in this book we see the masterful Kitazawa Hideta at work, performing his miracles of carving and finish, the mere sight of which ushers us into the unique world of Noh.’”

Finding peace with ourselves and our planet
““Our biggest challenge in this new century is to take an idea that seems abstract – sustainable development – and turn it into a reality for all the world’s people””
COVENTRY SCHOOLS PEACE PROJECTS
The Coventry Young Ambassadors Islands of Peace Japanese Garden is located in the Coventry War Memorial Park. It is open every day and is free to all. It was designed by the Japanese Garden Society using the children’s ideas and inspiration. The children were also able to learn about all the building phases of the garden. The Islands of Peace Japanese Garden was officially opened on 2 July 2021 by the Lord Mayor of Coventry and the Japanese Ambassador to the UK.
The Coventry Cities of Peace Schools Projects, congratulated by the International Coordinator of the UNESCO Associated Schools Programme Network (ASPnet), Ms Julie Saito, was able to sow many seeds for the future and ten Coventry Young Ambassadors will represent UNESCO UK ASPnet at the 70th Anniversary Global UNESCO ASPnet Conference in Kyoto in September 2023.
